JEN KONRAD
Project Designer

As a Project Designer, Jen is involved in all facets of project design and development. She coordinates every phase of a project, from the initial programming through the construction documentation, to the final punch once a client occupies a new space.

Since joining the firm in 2004, Jen quickly became a valuable member of the team. Her strong technical background in AutoCAD and love for detail provide for the smooth execution of contract documents which include specifications, schedules and drawings. Working collaboratively with the architect and contractor, Jen is closely engaged throughout the construction phase to keep projects focused on the client’s goals while meeting critical budget constraints and maintaining high quality design solutions.

Areas of specialization include lighting and furniture selection as well as interior signage and graphics. Whether it is a single space or a large institutional project, her balance of creative flexibility and focus maximizes the design potential of each client. Key Obrentz projects include Hill Country OB/GYN, Del Sol Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the University of Texas Counseling & Mental Health Center.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Texas State University. She is an Associate Member of International Interior Design Association (IIDA.) Her interest in green practice and commitment to bringing sustainable design principles to every project has lead her to pursue LEED AP accreditation, for which she is currently preparing.
